RE: Paper 3 grading, graduation dates
PAPER 3
When you get your paper 3 back, on the left hand side of where the
paper grade is, you may see a list of one or more numbers. Those
numbers correspond to the following problems.
-
Full references are needed in the bibliography
- Comments on the last part of the assignment need further development
- Although the paper does describe how support provided follows
suggested theoretical ines, the ide needs to be expanded.
- The discussions of the last question provides a clear answer byt
the reasoning behind the position taken is not fully developed.
- The paper has references listed, but either they are not the ones
referred to in the paper, or there are no references indicated in the
paper itself.
- The paper makes connections to class material but far stronger
and more pertinent connections could have been made.
- The discussion seems to assume that FoMV is a standard part of
the CJS rather than an outside funded program that is collaborating
with the CJS.
- The paper makes it sound like, in places, that the program is
generally for the victims of violence, rather than for the families
of murder victims, which is what most of its activities focus upon.
- Paper could have provided a better program overview
- Some of the comments made in the paper make it sound like FoMV is
providing the financial compensation directly, rather than helping
the co-victims get it from another source.
- The paper mentions that the program provides social support, and
that social support is good, but the paper does not provide the
references needed, and/or does not explain the theoretical
underpinnings specifically.
GRADUATION DATES
At this juncture there is a chance I will not be able to turn in
final grades for this course until after the first grade run. PLEASE
LET ME KNOW BY EMAIL IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GRADUATE NEXT MONTH, so I
can make plans as needed to turn in a provisional grade.
