CALCULATING

  1. Take [(YS - 74.5)/9.5] where YS is your original percentage (T3PCT). This gives you your Z score which takes into account how well the class did on average, and how spread out the classs was.

  2. Calculate : 80 + (Z*10)

  3. This gives you your adjusted percentage

WHO ADVANTAGES
   There seems to be a concern on the part of some students that the curve is unfair to the high scoring students. That is NOT so. For example, on Test 3 one grade of 95 was boosted to 101.6. This higher score is then calculated into your average. All students are advantaged with the curve.
