RE: Using resources available to you in this course

As folks prepared for Test 1, it appeared that some of you were not taking full advantage of the resources we have put out there to help you succeed in this course. More specifically:

* I regularly hold lonely office hours.

* Ms. Marie Garcia, your graduate teaching assistant, holds an MA in criminal justice, is in our doctoral program, and has taught criminal justice courses. She also holds office hours.

* At the top of the sequence of topics page in the syllabus you will find links to questions about the readings from Jacobs. You can use these to help organize that material. Those links are found on this page of the syllabus:

* You can get to the readings from the RMCJ book either through that sequence page listed above (look for places where it says CLICK HERE) or through the reserve room in Paley, or through the blackboard site for the course.

* Before each test we will try and distribute a handout with key words from the RMCJ readings. We will notify you about the handout with the  RMCJ study terms on the memos page on the website:

You can keep track of these key words as you are reading because they appear in bold.

* I am trying to post partial copies of the powerpoint files on the website as well - you also can check for these on the memos page

We're doing what we can to help you succeed!
