Your grade will be based in the following

40%

 Average grade on the best (N-1) out of N tests. There may be as few as four or as many as 7. Missed test counts as a zero. Please see grading policies and makeup policies - there will be no makeups offered without VERY SUBSTANTIAL documentation.

40%

Average grade on ALL LAB assignments. There may be as few as three or as many as six. You need to turn in ALL of these to get a passing grade in this course

10%

Participation. Some days in class I will ask you to turn something in with your name on it. If you are present and turn something in every time we do this you get all these points. Based on past semesters that may occur as few as four times or as many as ten.

CUMULATIVE BUT SHORT FINAL EXAM 
 The final exam will take place during the scheduled final exam period posted for this course.

NOTE. In order for me to issue you a passing grade for this course you must at least:
* complete all lab assignments
* complete all but one of the quizzes
* take the final exam
