60% |
Average grade on best three out of four tests. Your lowest test grade may be dropped, or you can opt NOT to take a test. But you need to take AT LEAST 3 tests |

20% |
Average grade on ALL paper assignments. Currently we plan to have 2-3 short papers. You will receive detailed instructions on completing each paper at least a week before it is due. These are SHORT papers. |

10% |
Participation. Some days when we complete in-class work I will ask you to turn something in with your name on it. |

Completing post-course assessment. This will be given during the final exam period, at the date and time listed in the schedule of courses. It will only take about an hour. You receive full credit for this portion of the grade just by showing up and completing the assessment. This assessment may be part of a department-wide initiative to assess competencies. The assessment cannot be accommodated within the course evaluation format. It is administered in lieu of a comprehensive final examination. |
