Here is what you want to have done by what date

10/27/03    Turn in to me a two page summary of what your paper is about. This should include a statement of the problem, what key readings or theories you intend to link to, and, what type of data sources you will use.  If you have not already talked to me about your paper before this date, you want to do so. I will turn these back to you with comments within a week.
11/3/03 - comments back to you; I may ask you for a more detailed statement
11/10/03 - revised two page summary due if it is requested of you.
11/14 or 11/17/03 - would like to schedule 20 minute conference with each student to review progress to date.
