If you want to access the L2 data file, read on. You may think this seems like overkill, but I just want to recognize that: a lot of work has gone into compiling these data; that work deserves recognition if it results in something like a publication; and we live in a litigious universe.
If you have any concerns about or objections to the user agreement which starts below, please contact me and we can talk about it.
USER AGREEMENT
I agree to the following conditions for using the data files linked below. By clicking on the links to those files I am attesting that I have read these conditions and agree to them.
I will not release these files to other users without the express written permission of Dr. R. B. Taylor, Department of Criminal Justice, Temple University.
If other colleagues or parties express interest in these data, I shall direct them to Dr. R. B. Taylor.
I will not sell these files to other users or institutions.
If analyses using these data result in future publications, those publications will contain, in addition to the PHMC acknowledgement for the Level 1 data file and the shape file, an acknowledgement that "Crime data and census data were compiled into PHMC neighborhoods by Brian Lawton, Department of Criminal Justice, Temple University."
These data are provided "as is;" there is no express or implied guarantee that these compiled data are accurate or complete.
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Brian Lawton, Ralph Taylor, Temple University, and the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University for any and all future claims of harm, injury, inaccuracy, or mental or emotional stress made against said user for his or her products using this information.
