Points to cover in your presentation

•Describe the outcome briefly if it is perceived drug reporting; otherwise spend more time on it. Be sure audience knows how it was conceptualized, how it was operationalized, and its measurement properties (alpha). Be clear about directionality. If it is not drug reporting, tell reader how much variance between, and how much within

•Describe level 1 theoretical model - hypotheses and rationales

•Describe level 2 theoretical model - hypotheses and rationales

•Describe varying slope theoretical model - IF AND ONLY IF this is something you will come back to later: what slope do you think will vary, why, and what nbhd features do you think will explain that

•Briefly describe the data set

•If you ran several types of models, tell the audience about the different types you ran

•Review the results of one model in detail, walking the audience through not only the variance results but what happened for each coefficient, at both level 1 and level 2. Just pick the one complete model that you like best.

•Talk about the theoretical and POLICY implications.

HOW WILL YOU BE GRADED

•You will be graded on clarity and accuracy of presenting the above points (most)

•In addition, you want to have either a small number of overheads or a small handout. You will be graded on this (a little)

•Your ability to finish on time (a little)

•Your ability to respond to questions (a little)
